Easy Mini Art Contest #3: Bees and Butterflies

in #art6 years ago

Greetings to @jacintasevilla , thanks for this contest that always calls for the conservation and protection of the different species that are part of the planet, in this opportunity I touch the butterfly and the bees, wonderful beings since they allow the pollination, which in turn is causing the plants to reproduce.

My job is about butterflies.
According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) there are 19 species of butterflies native to the Mediterranean, which in numbers would be equivalent to 462, 15 species are on the verge of disappearing.
For centuries the beauty of butterflies has captivated humans, which is why the Greeks identified the butterfly with the essence of being, which is why the divinity that embodied the soul called Psyche was often represented with butterfly wings.

No one can black that butterflies are a very important element in trophic chains, which makes them fundamental for many species of birds, bats and insectivorous mammals.

In addition, scientists use butterflies as model organisms to study the impact of habitat loss or fragmentation, as well as current climate change.

Despite the great importance of butterflies for the balance of the ecosystem, several species are endangered. The main culprit: man-made climate change.

An example of this is the monarch butterfly that could become extinct.

Among the main threats are the following:
1.- The transformation of meadows into agricultural areas for cultivation or forestry use,
2.- The change from traditional to modern agriculture, which leads to toxic pesticides
3.- The development of tourism that influences the frequency of fires.

Process of elaboration of the post:
To make the butterfly use:

  • Recycling material specifically, a plastic container of soft drink, in its part liza,
    fine, flat brush
    fabric painting
    black ink marker
  • play dough: brown. blue and red
  • recycled bond paper sheet
    scissors
    Process:
    Draw on recycled paper,
Cut out the soft drink container on the smoothest side, to use and highlight the drawing.
Then paint several times with cloth paint, letting it dry in the sun.
The purpose of using recycled material is to maintain a vision of environmental conservation.

My drawing was inspired by the mystery of the color of the butterfly's wings.
where each scale that forms the butterfly is like a pixel within a larger mosaic in which light is refracted, similar to a prism.
