New 'Cartoon' Profile Picture Art
Hey guys, I just updated my profile picture to a cool cartoon I made using Photoshop. It has an 80's feel to it (at least to me) and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, so I thought I would share it with you in a quick post.
To create the cartoon effect, I used a combination of the 'posterize image', 'cut out' and 'palette knife' filters in Photoshop. I then tweaked a few areas using the brush and eraser tools through multiple layers to build up the image.

It almost looks like a photo that has been CEL shaded!
Yeah, I was looking for a quick way to do just that.
I've always liked CoinTelegraph's artwork and suspected that they have a quick technique for doing this but I haven't been able to find a program or photoshop plugin that was up to the job.
In the end, I had to settle for Photoshop's built-in filters and work through multiple layers and renders to get the desired effect.
Do you know of any programs or Photoshop plugins that I could use for my future projects?
