Ned's portrait. Adobe illustratort artwork.

in #art8 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone! I want to show you my latest work. I just started to learn pop-art. I decided try a little practice in wpap-style.

What is WPAP Art?

Wedha Abdul Rashid has worked as an illustrator for the press industry since the 1970s, developing portraits of important figures from all backgrounds: politicians, musicians, artists, and fictional characters.
In the early 90’s, Wedha started to illustrate faces formed by single lines and strong colors, inspired by the cubist style. He then proceeded to draw these faces according to true dimensions, using a mosaic of colors.

An hour of work in Illustrator, and... :

As a base I used this photo:

I would like to get your opinion on this work.

Thank you!

поддержу потому что понимаю насколько это трудоемкое занятие

There used to be an old Acorn Archimedes (computer game) that was called Virus and used this kind of art.

Nice work :)

big brother

i think you did an especially nice job creating form to the nose as there is so little shading in that area naturally , where i feel the weakest part of this image was the ear as there is so much variation in shading and detail in that area, yet in your image its almost like you lost the depth and it appears as a flat object compared to the rest of the image that has great depth. as a whole id say you did an amazing job creating an accurate representation of your model. Great job!
