Messi fans hanged themselves after Argentina lost in World Cup.

A big fan of India's Lionel Messi committed suicide after Argentina was eliminated from the 2018 World Cup. The man, Monotosh Halder, was found hanging himself in his room after the game.

Citing the Mumbai Mirror on Tuesday (3/7/2018), the 20-year-old man from West Bengal, India, started crying like a kid after Argentina's match against France at the World Cup and turned off the television.

On Sunday, Messi's loyal fan body was found hanging on the ceiling of his room.

"When Argentina was defeated, Monotosh started crying like a child," said one family member.

"My son did not have dinner on Saturday night, he looked grim when Argentina lost.When he did not get up on Sunday morning, we went in and found him hanging from the ceiling on the television," said the father, Mongol Halder.

"Over the last few days, he's been watching all the FIFA World Cup matches, he's a devoted Messi and Argentine fan, see what he does for his love of soccer players," Monotosh's father said.
Police have investigated the case.
Before Monotosh, another Argentine fan in India, Dinu Alex, was also reported missing after Messi and the Argentine national team lost to Croatia in the World Cup group stage match.

The man's family says that he looks uncomfortable after the game and disappears a few hours later. Believed, Alex Dinu committed suicide by throwing himself into a river in Kerala.

The 30-year-old man left a letter expressing his admiration for Messi.

"Messi, my life is for you, waiting to see you lift the cup," he wrote as quoted by The Sun.

The father said he watched his son go to bed at 11:30 pm local time. However, he disappears after they wake up.
The only one found was an Argentine jersey, a cellphone cover with Messi, and a suicide note.
