Meet Dmitry — Our Newest Back-End Developer

in #arkecosystem4 years ago

During the last two months, we’ve had some great applicants for the back-end developer position with ARK, but Dmitry, in particular, stood out. So without further ado, we’re pleased to announce Dmitry Tyshchenko, our latest hire to strengthen our Core development team.

Dmitry has been involved with software development for the better part of the 21st century. His interest in software has been present since the early 2000s and he started his professional developer career back in 2005.

For the past 7 years, he has been working for an analytics company, where he was responsible for resolving tough development challenges, finding solutions for them, making prototypes and implementing final products. Some of these tasks included:

  • Writing most of the browser-side data collection layer responsible for tracking, which was integrated into multiple big 3rd party websites.

  • Ad-network integrations, which range from simple API calls to a Chrome solution that automatically logs you into a web-panel.

  • Script distributions (different clients and configurations), which consisted of bundling, publishing and monitoring them. Also properly maintaining their public APIs.

  • Performance optimizations (job running time was reduced from 4 hours to 10 minutes using Redis).

As well as the above, Dmitry has a lot of experience with JS/NodeJS, C# and vast experience with cloud infrastructures (he developed numerous dev-ops tools for optimizing cloud management resources). He puts a lot of emphasis on having a great testing suite for software products (which will help a lot while developing Core v3).

One of his main traits is being proactive and always pushing for new and better things. With his constant “need” to acquire new knowledge, Dmitry is exceptionally good at understanding new concepts (which he has already proved during the assignment portion of our hiring process).

Dmitry will be aiding our team in the development of Core v3. Working on the implementation of the modular consensus and voting alongside making improvements to our test suite to make it more resilient and easier to get into for new developers.

We are very excited for Dmitry to join our team and can’t wait for him to get into some key areas on our development roadmap. Soon you’ll be able to catch Dmitry on Slack, Developer Roundtables and more. Welcome to the family Dmitry!
