You can forge Nxt which is similar to mining, the different is you just need to make a transaction for activate your Api Key, after this you need to wait for 1444 accepted blocks which is about 24h. After this time you can forge Nxt, the height of Nxt you will get, is depending on the amount of Nxt you got which is accepted 1444 times.
