It is a design by the Venezuelan architect Fruto Vivas with a system of 16 petals that can be opened and closed. It is inspired by the Tepuyes of the Gran Sabana of Venezuela and the National Flower of Venezuela, the Orchid. It has numerous gardens and representative forests of Venezuela, aquariums, a library and an amphitheater.
