The Houses of Karuizawa

in #architecture7 years ago

Wouldn't you like to live and create in a house with big glass walls overlooking the dense and quiet forest? You can do that if you happen to own one of the beautiful houses in the town of Karuizawa which is one hour train drive away from Tokyo.

Even the slideshow of photographs of these houses is fascinating. Living in them must be ... so zen, I guess :)

The New York Times Style Magazine brings the story written by Hanya Yanagihara.

What Is Your Dream House?

Which creation do you like the most? Because these are creations of art and not just mere housing units.

This one is my favorite:

:) You can, of course you can. It is your decision.

And if somebody would be watching, it is their decision to watch :)
