Ulee kareng merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang ada di banda aceh/ aceh besar. Ulee kareng merupakan salah satu pusat pasar yg ada di banda aceh.
Simpang 7 khusus nya merupakan jalanan tersibuk yang ada di banda aceh. Di sinilah terletak sebuah mesjid yang kokoh dan besar dan ditambah dengan arsitektur bangunan mesjid yang sangat indah.
Masjid Ulee kareng ini terletak sangat strategis di pojok simpang tujuh, jadi jagan heran banyak aktifitas di masjid ini, tidak hanya untuk sholat berjamaah tetapi disini jaga sering diadakan Pengajian, takbir akbar, ceramah/pencerahan buat kaum muda/mudi, dan disini juga banyak anak-anak belajar ngaji dan hafidz Qur'an.
