When i received my first DSLR in 2013 i did a lof of experimental photography to try what kind of picture i can do with the camera and to get to know the camera as good as possible. Together with Photoshop i did my first tries in editing and i tried som HDR photography as well. I know these are not really good examples of architectural photography but for one of my first pictures it is not that bad. With the clouds in the background and the sun directly behind the tower i created a mystical background for the Church.

For taing pictures of the cathedral in whole you definitely need a wide angle lens. In the last picture i used a 10mm sigma lens and i was able to get much more of the church on the picture. Unfortunately the lights distract a little from the motiv. I see the pictures have a lot of space for improvement and i really need to visit this place for some photography again. Maybe also from the inside. I tried some shots inside but only without tripod and therefore i only did a HDR picture of the scene. HDR's look a bit artificial and unnatural if you are not a professional in photo editing and then you can create a picture like the last one i did.
