Before I start to introduce the places I want to show you in Norwich today, I need you to take a look of the picture below at first. Besides, this is also my entry for today’s architecturalphotography contest hold by @juliank.

介紹今天的建築前，請大家先瞧瞧下面的圖片，這同時也是我今天參加建築照片比賽的作品。

As you see, the buildings in my picture are “Forum” and “St Peter Mancroft Church.” One day when I headed to the Norwich Market, I went to downtown and walked along a familiar lane passing by the St Peter Mancroft Church. To my amazement, I noticed the Forum standing at end of the lane, and the image appeared to me was that the two buildings showed up with apparently different age and style; however, at the moment they just represented an amazing peaceful harmony side by side on the busy street.

照片中主要的兩座建築物，分別為公共展覽館和聖彼得曼克羅夫特教堂，有一天當我要去市場時經過這兒，抬頭一看，兩座歷史年代與建築風格迥異的建築物，卻毫無違和地並肩佇立在熙來人往的街道上，不禁讓我駐足停留並拍下了這照片。

What’s more incredible is both the architectures are still full of people running on activities. Forum, serves as the local science exhibition hall, people often hold various kinds of activities at both the outside grand square and the inside space no matter during the workdays or the weekends. We can regard it a center providing people and local groups of Norwich a comfortable place to organize workshops, hold exhibitions, give speeches, display performances and so on.

Last weekend, I took my children take part in the activity called“the Halloween Rescue,”there. Thanks to the chance, it’s the first time I stepped in the Forum and was able to know how the building was mainly composed of. To be honest, inside the Forum was not as huge as I imagined, but due to the high ceiling and wide window design, I feel very comfortable wandering in the big hall. Since the ground floor often serves for exhibition displaying, it indeed helps people flow in and out freely.

這兩座建築目前都仍然相當活躍，每天都有許多人潮穿梭其中或舉行活動。Forum是當地的科學展覽中心，不僅常舉辦展演，館內也有常態性的圖書館設備。

上個週末，我特地帶小朋友到此參加了一個結合科學與食農教育的萬聖節活動，也首次踏進了裡頭的展館，大廳由於挑高與大片落地窗設計，視覺感受是開闊舒適的，也因為明亮，所以我覺得非常適合參觀的人潮進出。

另外配合最近的展覽也有些相關的佈置，例如圖中的巨型樂高積木，其中最讓小朋友瘋狂的是外頭配合今天活動所展示的巨型農耕機，不僅大排長龍，中途還下起了雨也不減孩子們的興致，但也因此看到了短暫出現在天空的彩虹呢！

As to the part of “St Peter Mancroft Church,” my first impression was amazing because of the grand, antique and beautiful outlook. Soon after I passed by the church, it surprised me with tomb lands neatly gathered around. As I mentioned, the church is located in the center of downtown, and there are many shops, large shopping centers nearby, as a result, there are always crowds of people walking by.

With the natural and familiar atmosphere people show, it represents local residents accepted the arrangement a part of life, and take such kind of co-exist for granted. Maybe we can explain this way, “history flows still and never ends, and so do people. No matter life goes on or not!”

看到聖彼得曼克羅夫特教堂的第一印象是讚嘆於它的宏偉與美麗，古典雕刻並蘊含歷史味道的矗立在廣場邊，很自然地成為一個具特色的地標建築。但稍後令我驚訝的是，它的周邊圍繞著部分墓園，並無圍籬遮蔽，簡潔的墓碑旁有些還擺著鮮花，可以看出是有人悉心維護照顧的。

從旁邊經過如不留意，可能還以為是佈告或景點介紹。但從經過的人潮習以為常的反應看來，是我大驚小怪了。生命豈止於呼吸。這座教堂的存在證明了時間的流淌，也許緩慢但從不止息，現在的我們下一刻都終將成為歷史。

From these architectures, I realized the traditional and the modern buildings can surely peacefully exist at the same time and the same space. It proves and represents the evidence of time and people passing by, and we surely shouldn’t take it for granted. Moreover, it takes definitely not only the local government to spare time and money preserving these heritages but also all the citizens’ respect toward the history of this
place and art you can acclaim of course.

從照片中看到建築物發現傳統與現代可以和諧並存，因為建築本身體現了歷史的痕跡，而妥善保存則是居民對自身的文化歷史，當然也可說是對藝術的尊重！
