Rogers Locomotive Works, New Jersey

One thing I miss about living on the east coast is the endless history and architecture. I have said it countless of times how much I love the artwork and wandering the streets just to see lovely sights such as the historical area in Paterson, New Jersey.

The company was in business from 1855 until the 1920's and this building produced 6,000 steam locomotives during that timeframe. Today, the location is now a museum and showcases pieces during that time period.

If you are ever in the area and love trains then you do not want to miss this museum. This photo was taken with my smartphone.

Great photograph @eaglespirit. I can see why you liked wandering around that area if there are lots of buildings like it. Very atmospheric! 😊

hi GP, thank you for the compliment and passing by. :)
yes the area is definitely beautiful and must have been much better back in the day. its considered a bad part of NJ now. :(

It's a shame it's considered to be a bad part of New Jersey now @eaglespirit.

It's interesting how neighbourhoods change over time isn't it? Some of the areas that were "no go" in my home city when I was growing up are not quite trending. 😊

yes high crime and ghetto. mostly hispanics and run down. not that race has anything to do with it.
yes same in all cities i think, even in denver where im
at now, im in the up amd coming and its build build build wheras before people said theyd never step foot over here.

ps. have you noticed that when people are upvoting comments lately is turning up as zero?

...my account was hacked last night and the bot created a phishing site link here in the comments from my account ... the link is now removed... Today I got my account back.. sorry about that :( :( :( thanks.

Hi, so sorry my account was hacked last night :(

i saw that weirdness but it looked like jerry banfield was helping you and the flagger said to remove your hacked links and he'd help you? looks like all is good!

yes, I think everything is back to normal :) ... thank you for your understanding..

sure thing, hacking is the worst!

The Worst for sure .. have a good day ❤️ thanks again for your understanding

no worries, glad you got it straightened out and fast too! Steem On

They don’t build stuff like that anymore, it’s amazing at the style of that era.

its a shame really that this quality of build is no longer made. its definitely one aspect of the east coast i loved the most. blessings
