i started doing this for a macro challenge here on steemit. i tried with kit 18-55 lens and it is tricky as the f stop is closed on max so you have almost non of the focus. and on 18mm is incredible macro, so hitting the spot while you hold your camera and hold your lens in front of it is hard :D but it is fun :)
Yea that's why old analog lenses are better - you can turn aperture on the lens even if you turn it! :D and in digital cameras sometimes it can't do photo when lens is not plugged so again - analog photography! :D
and yes it is really fun to discover cameras in a different way of shooting :D
