Interesting read! This tradition is actually very live and popular in my Czech homeland too. He is called "Mikuláš" in our language :)
Cool to hear that. :) What do you do there to celebrate? Is it also on Dec 6?
It is pretty similar to what you guys do in Belgium :) The St. Mikuláš Day is on December 6 but we celebrate it on the eve of December 5 :)
