Archisteem: Voting Session for 1001 Places to Remember S08, Come and Vote For Your Favorite Stories!
Calling for Votes for 1001 Places to Remember Season 8
The project, 1001 Places to Remember is run by @archisteem and currently finding for collaborators to fill up roles like editors, graphic designers, and web designers. We are currently chasing each milestone diligently in the hope to realize our e-publication by the end of this year.
There are more and more quality and attractive stories submitted to the project; or being curated by the project. This made the judging process kinda hard to make. Therefore, there are some tips for the participants to know how we are judging this stories and how we shortlist among all the submissions.
As of Season 8, we shortlist 20 stories to be contested. We hope to have you to drop by and go pick your favorite stories so that we can learn from you about your preference in which we could produce a publication that could fit the community needs. The priority will go to the submitted stories and then only to the curated.
The reasons for us to do a voting session for the project, rather than picking the winners straight away from the submitted stories are:
- Learn from the community through their comments, votes and critics
- Promote interaction even the stories are expired as we believe those stories’ value should not stop at 7 days expiration period.
- Market the stories more so that the author will get exposure not only from their own profile.
- Earn more to support back more to the community
Despite having little to none respond for our voting session, we still believe that eventually, the session will become something valuable for both readers and authors. This is why we are still keeping the procedure and continue to do so. Plus, it is a record of how the community responds to each of our session and we could learn from our past.
Anyhow, we are reaching out to the community to seek for more support as the project cannot be done by our mere effort. On the other hand, @archisteem will definitely support back the community and give back as much as the initiative could to empower the people who share the same belief as we are which is to better our future built environment. That is why we start by appreciating the culture, the stories, the memories of a place shared by people from around the world.
