In Galilee, not far from the kibbutz Shamir, during the excavation open burial, whose age is estimated at 4 thousand years. The cemetery occupies several thousand square meters. On the stones, from which the central dolmen of this cemetery is built, ritual signs and symbols are found.

According to an employee of the Israeli Antiquities Authority Uri Berger, graves with carvings on a stone of this age are found in the Middle East for the first time.

Scientists find out what technologies the ancient people used to build such giant structures, what tools they performed carving on the stone, and which of the ancient cultures belongs to the burial.

In any case, this is probably the largest discovery in the history of Israeli archeology. Excavations in Galilee are conducted by scientists and students of the Hebrew University, the Academic College "Tel-Hai" and the Antiquities Authority.
