IN CHINA FOUND 500 BRONZE PRODUCTS WITH AGE OF 2.2 THOUSAND YEARS

In Sichuan province in the southwest of the PRC, about 500 bronze items, whose age exceeds 2.2 thousand years, have been identified.

The discovery was made during excavations near the city of Chengdu, Xinhua news agency reported.

As the representative of the archaeological team Wang Tianwu noted, 180 tombs of the Chunqiu period (770-476 BC) and the period of the Battle Kingdoms (475-221 BC) were discovered. 540 pieces of bronze were found in the tombs. Among them - dishes, tools, weapons and ritual statuettes.
