Emotional Game Moments: Resident evil 3 - Shaman king: Spirit of the shaman
There is a commercial that suggests that the best things in life are not things. In fact, the moments we live with our loved ones leave their mark. Some of those good times I've had while playing video games.
This is a story of determination and dedication between my best friend @takeru255 and me. Since we met we have shared the same love for video games and as expected from a couple of good friends, we had to achieve great feats together.
In our free days we always chose a classic video game to pass it again, since most of the games of the past we had finished with our children skills. Being more adults then we would get 100% out of each challenge that we proposed.
Jill's Diary - Resident evil 3
I'm sure many of you know the Resident Evil franchise, the survival horror game that scares more than one and precisely RE3 was one of the most challenging we put to overcome.
It was Sunday when I told @takeru255 that we would go through RE3 but with all the achievements, in difficult mode, take out the endless bullets, kill nemesis every time he appeared, pass the game in the shortest possible time and with the highest possible rating (Nothing difficult the truth) between one of those achievements was the Jill's diary.
According to the game, the diary was written by Jill Valentine before the events we witnessed in resident evil 3. Since it is a special object, in order to achieve it, all the files present in the game must be collected in order. by having them all you will get jill's diary.
Well, the funny thing about this gamer episode was that after striving to get all the files and be able to read Jill's diary for the first time, we ended the game with great joy since we only needed the last file that was collected before face the last Nemesis and thus complete the 30 files. It turns out that after picking up the last one we decided to face the final boss and pass the game. Everything was going well since our results were as expected.
We were anxious that the credits end quickly to start a new game, all right up to this point. We started a new game and the first thing we noticed is that the diary was not in our file menu, at that time we thought it was going to be in the first trunk we got to store objects. Our surprise was that there was nothing, we panicked and began to wonder what we had done wrong, we had everything: endless ammunition, alternative costumes and more, except the diary. In a moment of frustration we resort to a video tutorial on the internet to detect our error.
The end of the story is that after collecting the 30 files you must enter the menu and replace a file called "Manual A" with Jill's diary and it is at that point that you can read it because if you pass the game without reading it, when Once you start the diary, it will no longer be in your files, our reaction was to laugh at each other for such a mistake, in the end we decided to read the diary through a video on YouTube.
Shaman King Spirit of the shaman - the cave
The arcade game Shaman King was released for the PlayStation 1. Basically it was to follow the story of the anime series that has the same name: "Shaman King". There's nothing special about it, it's just playing in its story mode and beating all the opponents to reveal new characters.
The interesting thing about this is that the game was in its original language (Japanese) since it was only released in Japan. There is a part where you must enter a cave, they ask you questions and give you options to respond, if you succeed you advance if you do not back down.
This is the most difficult part of the game, you just have to guess all the answers to get a new character. But you will ask because I say it is difficult, well it is because the questions and answers are written in Japanese -LoL- again with my friend @takeru255 we devised a plan to overcome that goal. Which by the way does not have any tutorial on the internet that serves to pass it since the questions never come out in the same order.
Basically we did a little bit of cheating, we saved the game before entering the cave and we began to decipher the answers, some of which we guessed right, others failed. In the process we chose to photograph the TV screen and when we answered we marked the correct answer in the image and we kept it in a folder. And that's how we managed to collect at least 350 photographs repeating the process over and over again.
Everything was ready to overcome that obstacle and get the character, we started the game at the entrance of the cave and we put our plan into practice to overcome the language barrier, we delayed passing it as we had to go through photo by photo to know what answer give. The plan was a success, despite the time invested it was worth all the effort we did that time to say with satisfaction that we had won that character that nobody had (other friends for the time also played it).
Without a doubt these are my emotional game moments.
