Archaeology - North Brabant museum. Part 2 - exhibit VINCENT - A place you have to visit.

The North Brabant museum in 's-Hertogenbosch is a museum for art, history and the culture of North Brabant with always new presentations and exibits.

If you visit Brabant do not forget this fantastic place. You can combine it with the beautiful city. And the nicest church of Holland. The Sint Jan.

The museum is known for its collections of Roman archeology, southern Dutch art of painting from 1500-1800, art after 1800 and modern art.

In May 2013 princess Beatrix opened the museums quarter in 's-Hertogenbosch, the new museum complex of the Bierman Henkel architects, which unified the North Brabant Museum with the state museum ’s-Hertogenbosch. The Guggenheim of Den Boschas well as the `Museums quarter 's-Hertogenbsoch' were honored by the interior magazine "Own Home & interior" as one of the biggest cultural attractions in the Netherlands.

Vincent is the first painted animation film in the world. All frames of the 94-minute film are hand-painted. In total, there are about 65,000 paintings; Twelve passes are passed per second. More than 125 artists bring in loving Vincent the artist with brushstrokes to life.
It took the makers, Hugh Welchman and Dorota Kobiela of Breakthru Productions, a total of four years to realize the film. The film will be premiere in the Netherlands in October 2017.

This exhibition gives a unique look behind the scenes of the specially painted animated film about Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). For the occasion, the 70 most beautiful paintings made for this film are made to 's-Hertogenbosch.

In the Noordbrabants Museum, original works by Vincent van Gogh can be seen in The Story of Brabant, more specifically in a pavilion dedicated to Van Gogh and his Brabant period. At the moment, 10 works, which Van Gogh painted in Nuenen, are included in the permanent presentation of the museum. Nuenen was the place in Brabant where he worked the most part of his life in the Netherlands as an artist. The museum tells Vincent Van Gogh's story in his Brabant period.
