This copy of a papyrus shows the Egyptian goddess Nut creating the sky with her body, arching over the earth: she was lady of heaven, day and night, and rebirth.

The seasonal cycles, the stars that disappear and return the evening after, the sun that "dies" and always "reborn", even the female menstrual cycle, were the natural references of the matriarchy, which led to the idea of a Great Mother that reassured everyone, females and males.

We were goddesses... while today women are killed just because they’re women.
From babylon mythology on (2000 b.C.) the Goddess was almost exclusivily associated to “nature” as a caos force to keep under control, while the God seen as a conquer and commander of the nature.
As the goddess mith is lost, I think our purpose should be think again, feel again, change our approaches.

Thank you very much!

I like your conclusion. It's smart and well put. Fortune changes, sometimes we're in a good place, sometimes not. But the one thing that remains true is that it changes, and we will change, always.
It's fascinating to look at how our ancestors viewed the world, isn't it? :) I'm glad to see you're sharing your passion here.

@honeydue Did you know that ancient Greeks had a cyclic conception of time? :) Nietzsche much later speaks about "the eternal return", we can only hope for the world it turns in a better place once again. Thank you for reading me, I really appreciate your feedback!
