The Victim named Kamal Uddin S/O Shah Mia, was fishing in the Tonbisi area at 2 PM and there a Mogh (Rakhine) shop owner hit him with a heavy stone and injured his ribs.

Now, Kamal is in a death-defy condition as his rib bones have been fractured and he needs immediate medical assistance.

"We cannot do anything to survive, so he just went to fish for feeding us. Earlier we had a fishing boat with engine and it was also stolen by Moghs," complains his wife, worrying over her husband's critical condition, living in quarter two of Buthidaung Township.

All means of livelihood have been totally barred for Rohingya since the state-sponsored violence of 2012 and now common Rohingya are also halted from basic activities like fishing and farming in their own area.

Since 2017, nearly 800, 000 Rohingya were driven out by the Burmese Gov't to the neighboring Bangladesh and living condition of remaining Rohingya looks perilous.

Thousand of Rohingya commemorated their 1st Genocide Remembrance day on 25 August 2018, which marked a year end of the pre-planned attack on them by the Burmese forces and forced out nearly 800, 000 Rohingya in makeshift camps on Bangladesh . Image: Social media
