موضوع حوادث سيارات الأجرة طالما راودني نقاشه لما يخلفه من خسائر بشرية واقتصادية هامة،حيث تعتبر السرعة المفرطة وصيانة الناقلة سببا رئيسيا علما أن السبب الأهم وراء الحوادث هو العنصر البشري (السائق) والذي لا يبالي لعيوب سيارته مما يجعلها تتعرض للمشاكل على الطريق وفقدان السيطرة عليها أضف إلى ذلك الحمولة الزائدة وعامل المخدرات.هذه الحوادث تعكس خطورة الطريق التي يرتادها آلاف المواطنين يوميا من الأطفال والنساء والعجائز والشيوخ حيث أن معظم سائقي سيارات الأجرة الصغيرة يتسابقون و لا يعطون الأسبقية للراجلين وهم في صراع دائم مع الركاب ومع أصحاب السيارات الخاصة .إن ما يؤلمني ويخيفني في آن واحد هم سائقي سيارات الأجرة الكبرى بين المدن ،حيث يدوسون قانون السير ويعتبرون أنفسهم ملوك الطريق، يتوقفون دون إشعار وبطريقة مفاجئة في أي مكان لا يعيرون أي اهتمام لقانون السير ويأخذون من الوقت ما طاب لهم لاستخلاص الواجب من الطريق لإركاب زبون أو إنزاله غير مبالين بالآخرين.
