Misconceptions about pit bulls
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a companion and a family dog It was originally to bred to "bait"bulls but later moved into the house to become a nanny dog because they are so gental around children. One source says a part of this breed's genetic makeup is it's unwillingness to bite humans. Intending to separate it from it's pit fighting past the AKC named it American Staffordshire Terrier. These dogs love people and and havr no idea their sizes are bigger than a lap dog. This love of people makes them a failures as gaurd dogs but they will defend their family with their lives. Early socialization exposer to different people,sights,sounds, and other a
nimals is a great start to raising a well behaved dog . One on one bonding "playtime and exercising"is the foundation for a string relationship with your American Pit Bull Terrier.

In my opinion, it is all about how you raise a dog. An animal isn't instinctively mean.
My sister actually breeds pit-bulls, so I've been around a ton of them. I feel like a dog is the mirror image of the effort an owner has put into teaching and training it.
They can be big babies, like any other breed of dog.

I never understood the pit bill hate. My guy loves goddamn everybody. Except birds. He bloody well hates birds.
They are my favorite breed .One of my females didn't like anything
