It’s the end of 2017. Time to look back on this year’s most popular apps for iPhone! It’s been quite the year. The Pokemon GO hype lived on, Instagram Stories overruled Snapchat and livestreaming became more popular than ever.

Overall there are four breakout trends: the introduction of augmented reality (AR) apps and games, the rise of real-time competitive gaming, apps focused on mental health and mindfulness and apps transforming storytelling and reading.
