Why an apprenticeship is a great idea
I'm currently doing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and my I'm in the first year of the apprenticeship.
I'm 21 years old and work for a Torque tool company in the UK.
I enjoy my apprenticeship and there are so many opportunity's to look forward to and the future is bright.
Why should you get an apprenticeship?
If you know what job you are after then there's most likely an apprenticeship for that job role. An apprenticeship can provide you with knowledge and education for free and you get paid for it while others would pay up to tens of thousands for the same education and experience.
It will provide you with a great future as it allows you to get into management in the company you did your apprenticeship in. This is because you will know the company better than a manager who has just started.
It can provide you a route into university and get paid for it now that sounds good to me.
It may bring the best out of you as you learn about the job in person and will be trained for that job for many years. You will know the company better than any other newcomer within the business.
In my opinion the apprenticeship is the best option for myself as I am a visual learner and prefer to learn to about the topic while actually doing it even at the university level.
Its definitely worth a look into apprenticeships as it may provide you with the job you want even if its welding or design engineers and managers.
