Apple Music looking solid to beat Spotify
The good news keeps coming to Apple as it recently overtook Samsung as largest smartphone company and now reports revealed that Apple Music is on track to overtake Spotify as the top streaming service in the US. Music market of the US is the largest in the world and stats show very good results for Apple music.
According to the Wall Street Journal, subscribers for Apple Music are increasing at 5 percent per month, whereas its Swedish rival’s monthly growth rate is closer to 2 percent. Apple Music has “three to four” times more trial subscribers than Spotify and taking these stats into consideration, it looks very obvious that Apple Music will win the race this summer.
Apple Music was launched in mid-2015 in the US which is already 4 years late than Spotify. Apple Music comes as pre installed on all Apple devices like iPhones and these devices are very popular in the US. This is why it did not take too long for the Apple Music to become so popular. Another effort by Apple to gain more subscribers for Apple Music is the upcoming HomePod smart speaker which will only support Apple Music.
These numbers are very positive for Apple in the US, but globally Apple is way behind Spotify in number of subscribers. Spotify has more than 70 million paid-subscribers while the total number of global subscribers for Apple music are 36 million, which is just more than half of its competitor.

thanks for sharing.
you welcome
Apple has the reach but the Apple Music platform is just terrible. I do not believe they can ever compete with the ease of use of Spotify. They will get the trial users because of the pre-installed iPhone app but in the long run Apple loses this battle. (in my opinion)
Lets see how this goes
