Apple is testing more than 10 models of the iPhone 8 to stabilize the device's final shape, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
According to newspaper sources, some of these prototypes rely on designs completely different from the previous designs of phones "iPhone".
Most of the new designs are on new OLED screens, which will spark competition between the largest screen manufacturers such as Samsung, Sharp and LG for the manufacture of IPhone screens.
The Wall Street Journal says most of Apple's needs will be provided by Samsung but will cooperate with other companies, especially since it will need hundreds of millions of screens.
Apple used to release its new phones in September each year.
