Apple's new iPhone, iPhone x!

in #apple7 years ago (edited)

Today Apple released a new iPhone (iPhoneX) and other toys.

So come on fools, run to the shop, stand in line and give your hard earned money to Apple.

The new flimsy iPhone will set you back about $1000.

Only a fool will drag around a brick worth $1000 on a daily basis.

Here is why I would NEVER spend that much money on a iPhone:

  • It's asking for getting robbed. (So if you really want one you could buy a second hand one)
  • You could destroy the damn thing in one second if it slips out of your fingers.
  • It's closed source, you cant even figure out what the thing is doing in the background.
  • Apple is all about DRM.
  • When you spend $1000 you at least want to really OWN it, and be able to tinker around without getting sued. You pay in advance to get a lawsuit? Come on... Think!
  • If a $1000 device breaks then you can expect an even more insane repair bill.
  • It's not capable of protecting you from the FBI and THIS LINK
  • You do not own the digital key to your phone however Apple does have it.

So now you say you need a new phone what should you buy?

I'd say, don't spend more then $100. I actually use a second hand phone (Not from Apple) that cost me about $35.

Can you find yourself in this? Please consider a re-steem.

curious if the usual iCrap hysteria will ensue or if most people are just broke these days......

There probably will be enough fools on this planet to stand in line to give away a very hard earned $1000.
Or a bunch of capitalists who spend $1000 that they ripped off from the middle class. So however you look at it, we are the ones who pay for the bullshit even if you don't actually own the thing.
