My Letter to Apple: 10 Years and the Messages Search Still Sucks.

Hey Apple, you just celebrated 10 years of iPhone’s existence. You’re most definitely one of the worlds best technology companies, if not the best.

<RANT ON>

So how in the hell, do you still not have a decent way to search the damn Messages app? It completely sucks. It’s horrible. The search results only return the last message, with the search term or phrase, for each Messages thread. I just don’t understand why you have neglected Messages search, with all your other amazing accomplishments. In comparison to your other achievements in technology, this is a very trivial for you. It’s not like you don’t have the talent or money.

Puhlease, at the very least, include all messages within a thread, that contain the search term or phrase. At least then, search functionality would actually be usable. If you really wanted to go all out, you could give us some filtering options (filtering by link, media type, date range, etc).
