Plants feel pain.
There was a time we thought animals do not feel pain.
There was a time we thought (gold)fishes do not feel pain.
Now we (well most of us) care about animals in pain. If it comes to it we humans can be more fanatic in saving them as saving our fellow humans.
But how about plants?
We know they respond on love, a good talk and music. It is even proved they respond on pain.
Imagine every piece of fruit is staring at you from the tree or bush it is hanging in. It eyes follows you where ever you go. If you pick it or bite it, it starts screaming like a pig being slaughtered! Would you keep eating it?
Imagine the juice coming out is not juice but the fruit its blood. And you are sucking and licking it like an vampire.
Every step you take on the grass, each time you mow it, it screams out loud. All those voices, all this noise. You will be labeled as a molester, a monster!
With some bad luck their aliens come at help and they destroy you.
All life starts with plants.
I wonder when a group will stand up for them and tell us it is a bad thing to do: eating plants and their fruits.
(This is my entry for the #googlyeyes contest, get some eyes and make life visible too.)
Nothing wrong about picking an apple and taking a big bite (a funny snake told us that eons ago and it was already right back then!).
Actually the survival and procreation strategy of many fruit bearing plants is that the fruit gets eaten by animals and the kernel/seed survives digestion and gets shit out somewhere else where a new plant can grow.
Also there is a surplus of seeds, nature is abundant. So nothing wrong about oil from seeds, too - as long as you keep some and plant them.
Be nice to plants, be nice to animals, be nice to your fellows - and don't forget to be nice to yourself! ;-)

awww... adorable... and yes, we can actually smell the plants scream warnings to their family when we mow the lawn. that's a fact!

That is a very sympathetic thought, although I hope that never a bigger group will stand up and forbid us to eat plants.
After that we would have to eat rock flour until someone discovers that the rock has a soul.
