I have friends down south and in Australia and they are all getting into the Christmas spirit by heading to the beach before it gets too hot.
For me, nothing is more Christmas-y that getting snowed in on the big day and eating all the food. It makes people slow down and spend more time with each other, the real reason for the season.
Forcing people to spend time together until they don't want to see eachother for 6 months :)
There is about 8cm of snow on the ground, the tree is up and fridge stocked.
