They make fake fruit to put in a bowl on your table. I've always wondered about that custom.

The part that makes me smile is the fact that I managed to grow these little creatures of nature from some seeds... all by myself.
They make me feel like I've accomplished something... and not just that: it reminds me I have the power to create.
Fake fruit always makes me sad, lol, just like fake plants, and fake people ;0)
The fake stuff always has dust on it.
I completely understand. I love growing food! Have always loved plants. I can't wait for the day when I have a greenhouse and can grow year round!!
Sometimes the plants and the fruit is so beautiful I hate to pick it! But you have to cause you CAN'T waste it!

ha! yes Ma'am I know what you mean. did you guys ever get away for a weekend or do you get away for a weekend every once in awhile? I remember that one time your plans got canceled because of rain.
This summer we managed to get away 1 weekend. My back is still not fine, and since my girlfriend has to go to work all week and do all the householld chores, it was a miracle we had the chance to go out even for one weekend...
