I totally agree with you - you can't kill yourself - only the body. Next life will bring the same problems to you....
But i don't believe that penguins want to make suicide in a similar way as human beings. Maybe they feel the end of their lives and go away from the group to cope with it alone? Native people in the past did so i think. No sucide but feeling the right moment and react...
.. hmmm, maybe you’re right..my information is still that they tried to bring them back to the swarm, but they were still trying again to get away...anyway, it’s still their decision...
