Totalitarianism
It is considered as a form of state where it has absolute dominion over everything: the population, the territory, the power, the government, the right and even the legal power.
>
It is characterized by disrespecting, ignoring and violating the human rights of citizens and any way of expressing freedom of thought, political or religious language.
Unlike dictatorship, totalitarianism organizes power at its convenience to maintain its absolute dominion, maintaining the discourse of being the representatives of the people and who are the ones defending it from its enemies, as a strategy to subdue and control its inhabitants.
It is important to note that in the twentieth century is that such governments have emerged using technology to monitor and regulate the population.
This type of government tries to avoid any alternative opposition through bullying with the firm purpose of nullifying any opinion other than its doctrine.
One of its premises is the censorship of the media and the elimination of all those free media and replace it with state media or buy them in order to ensure that only the information they consider adequate is disseminated and to keep the government advertising constant.
The basis of totalitarianism is the domination and control of the population, for this it is essential to keep the population ignorant to facilitate the doubling of the people.
Finally, one of the main features of totalitarian regimes is the investment of large sums of money to keep the military allied to their regime and thus ensure the maintenance of power.
Dictatorship
It is a type of regime that is normally born out of a coup d'état and comes to it through a de facto government (de facto) and whose power is centred on a single person known as Dictator.
.
On this person fall all powers: state, executive, legal and legislative throughout the country, thus taking advantage of violating laws and decision making are arbitrary and contrary to the constitution.
Characteristics
1.-Absolute absence of the division of the powers that govern the nation: The Executive Branch, Legislative Branch and Judicial Branch, with the total omission of the constitution leaving citizens without laws to protect them.
2.-Only a minority are those who have absolute and limitless power, centered in the government group.
> There is a violation of the privacy of citizens by the armed forces, which have the power to deprive citizens of their freedom and to break into their homes and even to deprive them of personal objects.
4.-Total control of the mass media, maintaining total supervision of the information transmitted by them to keep the population dominated and inculcate an indoctrination to the people.
> 5.-Violation of citizens' human rights.
6.-Persuasion and control of the population through fear, the regime foments terror against its political adversaries through persecution and torture and can even lead to murder and physical disappearances.
Types of dictatorships
Authoritarianism
In this type of dictatorship, they hold democratic elections and all power falls on a single person or a minority or political group, where they limit all the freedoms of citizens, anyone who is against the dictatorship is considered a traitor to the fatherland.
Totalitarianism
In this type of dictatorship the excess of power is centered in a single person can become a kind of cult to a leader, they apply a policy of terror, which can lead to the use of techniques of severe indoctrination with the population, the captivity of enemies to the dictatorship or the same people in concentration camps, as well as the repression of the population with the secret police.
Theocracy
This type of dictatorship is one of the oldest in the history of humanity and is based fundamentally on the fact that power is exercised by God and that the dictator is his representative who enjoys his approval, whose link between the power he exercises and religion is extremely close.
Military
This type of dictatorship obtains the government after a coup d'état or a military pronouncement, where all the institutions are controlled by the armed forces, maintained by the use of force.
Constitutional
Contrary to the previous ones, this type of dictatorship makes the illusion that the regulatory constitution will be respected through constitutional fraud, when really all power is concentrated in the dictator maintaining control, repression and control of everything and of the powers.
