Yes, you're right with your article. But when you just sit down with your kids in the summer to have an ice cream or cake and 10 of them are bothering us, you forget how important they are ;-) So every time we have to remember how important they are.
Yes, sometimes it is not easy. My experience is when you are calm, not getting nervous and do not hit after them, they fly away after a short while.

Yes, I'm working in Munich but don't have the time to take part at those Meetings. I'm even having trouble to find the time to meet with my friends. I think, when the kids getting older, I will find more time for me (and my friends and maybe for steem meetups) :-)
