Street art: The Dancing Dervish of Nicosia

On my last trip to Cyprus I discovered and photographed many cool street art works. A particularly beautiful piece - in my eyes - is this dancing dervish. It is located on a house wall in the Turkish part of Nicosia, and looks directly over the "green border" towards the Greek-speaking south. Maybe something like an appeal for reunification...

Auf meiner letzten Reise nach Zypern habe ich viele coole Streetart-Kunstwerke entdeckt und fotografiert. Ein für mich besonders schönes Stück ist dieser tanzende Derwisch. Er befindet sich auf einer Hauswand im türkischen Teil Nicosias, und blickt direkt über die "grüne Grenze" in Richtung des Griechisch-sprachigen Südens. Vielleicht so etwas wie ein Appell zur Wiedervereinigung...
