I pledge to help save this incredible planet we call home. 🌍 the theme for earth day in 2018 was to end plastic pollution. ~ I’ve seen first-hand how human ignorance is affecting our oceans, rivers, and wildlife. 🐛🐬🦓 Let’s continue to educate, protect and be the light for those who are still in the dark. 💡 Avoid plastic as much as possible or ♻️ it!!! This photo was taken at a sustainable indigenous village in Indonesia. Before plastic was introduced by the West, banana leaf and other natural plant materials were used for packaging. Unfortunately, education on how to recycle or where to put the plastic waste did not come along for the ride. 🎢The war on plastic has indeed begun with bans happening worldwide on plastic bags and one-time-use plastic, but it’s still a long road to recovery. Let’s do this together
