AnyLedger: Securing IoT using blockchain and TEE Technology.

Security is a big issue in IoT, this week I would like to share how AnyLedger is securing IoT devices using Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) and blockchain Technology to address security threats to your IoT devices. TEE Technology is currently deployed on smart phones to store Fingerprints, Passwords and other sensitive data on our smart phones.

TEE Technology is a security mechanism that provides security to devices with sensitive data stored on the device enforcing data access rights and security. This technology can be useful in IoT devices protection where IoT devices isolates its hardware and software security from the main network and device operating system.

TEE and blockchain technology can offer new solutions to IoT security enforcement through high security measures that enables trust for IoT devices. Trust is delivered between the devices, the blockchain network and the distributed ledger. When you have trust in your IoT device it would be easier to delegate some functions to the device this will save time, costs and enable us to automate transactions.

AnyLedger is a project with an aim of enabling every physical asset to exchange value through the use of smart contracts and an open source programmable embedded wallet. Security as the main concern is securing IoT devices, AnyLedger is using TEE Technology that allows IoT devices to operate in a secure and trusted environment that lowers the possibility of an attack when operating in a decentralized environment.

TEE Technology security and scalability.

AnyLedger is building an embedded wallet that will use TEE Technology towards securing IoT devices, as we all know a wallet contains private information and because this information will be required during execution of process, we need a trusted execution environment. This will allow the isolation of data stored from the main operating system and the blockchain network. This technology will enable end to end security by protecting execution of private data building trust, instilling confidence and privacy.

AnyLedger will also allow IoT devices to scale through protection of IoT devices, by combining blockchain and TEE Technology AnyLedger will improve the networks integrity by preventing devices tempering through improved IoT device attestation.

Using Trusted environment execution, AnyLedger will also secure communication of IoT devices in a decentralized environment, as we all know IoT devices rely on their ability to communicate and this is an area that is highly targeted by hackers. Using TEE technology IoT devices in a decentralized environment will be able to share data through a secure communication channel.

Through TEE technology IoT devices will be able to verify transactions in a blockchain network where devices attestation is used to secure IoT devices in a blockchain network. TEE Technology is helpful in blockchain networks through allowing IoT devices to exist and communicate in a consortium blockchain network where devices connected in the blockchain network will be able to interact and communicate in a secure environment.

AnyLedger will use TEE technology to allow devices connected in the blockchain to verify transactions through attested devices that encrypt and verify transactions. In a decentralized environment IoT devices must be secured through high standards of security to prevent malicious attacks and tempering and AnyLedger will use both TEE technology and blockchain to assure integrity through temper proof authentication and over the air update on IoT devices.

Conclusions.

Anyledger will add value to IoT devices connected on its network through trusted execution environments that will allow hardware isolation in an effort to improve the security of the network and devices. Through this technologies Anyledger will allow billions of IoT devices connected in the IoT ecosystem to transact in a secure environment through their innovative embedded wallet allowing IoT devices to authenticate themselves remotely.
