Is it me or are votes going through faster now?

I tried to look for an update on that but couldn't find one. Is this a hidden feature we didn't hear in the @steemitblog announcement or in @blueorgy 's post about the Curation/Blogging Rewards?

I'm not complaining, I just think its awesome and was wondering what changed.
