One of the most painful anime I have seen!

Talk about painful to watch, I almost had to stop..lol. I lost count the number of time this series made me flinch. This series will make say "OH GOD!" more than once..lol. Starts out with an average kid named Subaru Natsuki filling the roll as the main character.

The poor bastard is just walking down the street and the next thing you know he gets teleported from modern Japan to a medieval fantasy land. Lost and confused he wanders around aimlessly till he ends up in an alley. Then it begins as a group of thugs find him talking to himself and snatch him up. A cute girl sprints by leaving him in the hands of three thugs. Thinking she was the girl that summoned him to this world from his visions he yells to her, but she doesn't look back. That girl is Felt a 15-year-old thief who grew up in the slums of the capital. He tries to fight them off and gets his ass kick due to one pulling weapons.

Unknown to him at the time Felt had stolen an amulet from a pretty young lady named Satella. She has silver hair and is a half elf, accompanied by Puck her familiar a sprite that looks like a cat. Her character design is great in my opinion. As you will see there is plenty of fanservice, but not too much to take away from the story. Satella shows up just in time to save his ass.

So like a moth to a flame he is smitten and offers to help her retrieve her stolen amulet. The series does have a great story and character development. You find yourself bonding and relating to the characters. And the first episode which is split into 2 parts both 23 minutes starts off just like another anime. Then they manage to track down Felt, but they run into trouble! His visions become reality. He gets mortally wound by a killer in the dark corners of the inn Felt lives at, after stumbling upon a gorey seen. Stella comes in to see what happens... Subaru lives just long enough to see her die right in front of him!

Then he opens his eyes after he thought they were closed for the last time. He finds himself in front of a fruit stand where he started at earlier that very same day, ALIVE! At this point, I believe you will be hooked wanting to know what happens next.
So I think you get the idea. It's kind of like the movie "Groundhog Day" starring Bill Murray (if you haven't seen it you will need to watch it, just one time..lol). So let's just say it happens alot! Yes this series is ten times better than the Groundhog Day movie..lol

I am going to leave the rest for you to watch yourself, but before I go keep your eyes open for the maid twins Ram and Rem! Crazy times you will have watching this series!

For kicks make sure to watch it subtitled and not dubbed. Most anime is better subtitled to get that extra emotional feel. You will know what I mean when you meet this crazy dark priest!
