Guy grows as an artist. But more memorable is his every day life in his new community. The very few corners that are cut in animation might bug you in an otherwise superb production.
Premise: Renowned calligrapher moves to country-side to chill down, after flipping out over loss in calligraphy contest.
I would suggest writing a little more as this review is way too short. I also have no voting power left, so maybe next time. Nice photography by the way, but in general, even photos can be dull without accompanying text.

Barakamon does go deep. It goes into the mindset of an arrogant and elite student who has never experienced family before. The show has strong family values and even offers some depth on what art is and how to produce art.
