Death Parade: A Modern Anime Masterpiece

There are very, VERY few anime that I would be willing to give the distinction of "masterpiece", but if ever there was one that deserved it, Death Parade is it. An emotional rollercoaster that gives us a window into the afterlife, where humanoid "arbiters" judge the souls of the deceased, Death Parade shows us the best and worst of humanity. Its philosophical pathos is matched only by its unflinching gaze into the darkest parts of the soul, effectively drawing out all of the brutal truths hidden inside. I love this show unconditionally, and in this review I attempt to share why I love it, and convince anyone watching to give it a chance to win their love as well.
