Gantz: BRING IT BACK!
This is one of the few series that I can never get over...the way the anime series ended was just so frustrating! The anime was based off the manga series & it starts a little slow but damn does it pick up & get crazy as hell. The anime only ran 26 episodes back in 2004 which is a shame considering how long the manga series is & how much crazier things get.But the way they ended the anime was just maximum bullshit. I'm not gonna give away exact details but lets just say they literally cut to black in the middle of a scene & called it done.
Now to the people that never heard of Gantz...good luck finding anything more violent, crazy & just flat out fucking strange.The series is definitely for an adult audience considering all the gore, decapitations, language & sexual content.
The story is really complex so I'm gonna try to explain it the best I can.It's about this weird, black ball named Gantz that runs this game with recently dead people.Their bodies get transfered to an alternate dimension of some sort where they're still in Japan, but living people can't see them.Now Gantz, he basically turns people into alien bounty hunters with all kinds of crazy equipment.The people have to play his game in order to live & kill aliens with each one having different scores depending on how dangerous they are.There's also a time limit & if you try to leave the area or don't get the mission done in time...you're a goner for good.But if you survive & kill all the aliens, you rack up points & get 3 choices; 1) Pick a better, upgraded weapon for the next game. 2)Free yourself from future games unless you die again in the real world. 3)Bring back a fallen teammate.
The manga ran from 2000-2013, so pretty good run haha.Now they did come out with an insane CGI movie in 2016 that just kinda jumped somewhere into the middle of the series & it was amazing! It was the best CGI work I've ever seen & I'm hoping they do another one...or better yet, reboot the anime series.Either one, I'd be very happy about.After writing all this, now I wanna bitch about Elfen Lied's anime next haha it still hurts me.

Awesome. I have heard of Gantz but never took the time to read. Was one of those things where your buddy is like "You have to check this out" but he says that about everything so you take it with a grain of salt. Will definitely have a look now. Thanks for the screens. The CG anime looks amazing too.
