Hello friends, I believe that there is no person on the planet who refuses to see a movie from Studio Ghibli, because while it is not Disney, the stories that relate each of its deliveries are loaded with feelings, messages, incredible characters and worlds of endearing fantasies that make you literally fly and feel something indescribable in your chest.

Since Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl no Ugoku Shiro, each of them were part of my childhood, so when I see them, they really allowed me to travel through time and remember those important moments for me.

Considered as one of the most important animation studios, the Studio Ghibli is a Japanese studio with several award-winning films and positively criticize in cinematographic medium.

Today I will talk about a film that I have seen a lot and it always afflicts me: Grave of the Fireflies, a film directed by Isao Takahata that despite not having that usual and fantastic style characterizes the Studio, is one of the best without a place to doubts, reflecting the reality and the constant struggle of the people in the period of the War.

Based on a book, Grave of the Fireflies is starring two brothers, Seita and Setsuko, two children who run away from home due to the attack of dangerous bombs. In the moment, They lose their mother and have nowhere to go; here in search of the whereabouts of the woman and a place to live, after a medium trip they stay with her aunt. Will they survive?

Since the beginning to the end Seita (the older brother) must endure all kinds of situations associated with war: a frightened and selfish society because of the scarcity of food, the uncertainty of where to live, the lack of money, the whereabouts of his mother and the care of his sister Setsuko who does not fully understand what happens around him due to his age, are some factors that we will contemplate, quite real and hard that in a certain way show us the ravages generated by the war in the country.

Although the message of the film seems to be the elimination of the wars, according to the author it is not like that.

With regard to animation in general, it is quite beautiful, with colors and scenes that loosen your soul as when Setsuko contemplates the fireflies that appear and dazzle at night.

Although I have not seen them, I have to mention that the movie has 2 Live Action. Despite being adaptations (the story is not completely true) they are apparently pretty good.

Really if you want to delight yourself with a story of Studio Ghibli that is emotional and that immerses you completely in a tragic but at the same time impressive story, I highly recommend it.

What are you waiting to see it?

I hope you liked my post :)
