Let's start with the first part Phantom Blood, it became anime and aired in Japan between October 5, 2012. Arriving in the United States in October 2016. It has as a plot the rivalry between Jonathan Joestar known as JoJo and his Adoptive Brother Dio Brando.

Dio Brando

It is the main antagonist of this saga and next sagas in this wonderful Manga, is an intelligent, manipulative and ambitious person who will do everything possible to harm Jojo and cause traumas, whether physical or social. Dio has as aspiration to keep all the fortune of the Joestar family.

The Stone Mask

Shortly after starting the plot appears a mysterious stone mask with strange powers and after one of the fights of Dio and JoJo, this changes shape leaving several hooks. JoJo intrigued begins to investigate to know the history of this mask. Later in the story this mask will be the center in a big fight of the young brothers and will unleash the following parts of the story.

My opinion

This is a shonen characterized by striking characters and great musculature, you could say "typical of the eighties." Although the beginning of the fights between JoJo and Dio are child's play and have a slow start, very soon the plot is unleashed with great surprises becoming more and more serious the fights. It is worth noting that it is a characteristic story of the eighties for its arguments and drawings but that it is really worth reading and the anime is not far behind although it was animated as of 2012, it is faithful to the manga maintaining these eighties characteristics of the characters and of history.

I do not want to continue ruining the surprises that this wonderful manga and anime has. I recommend them 100%, so if you like shonen you should not miss out on these great adventures with JoJo, really as they have no idea, how much I love this masterpiece created by Hirohiko Araki.
