How Weathering With You Compares To Your Name (Tenki no Ko & Kimi no Na Wa) | Movie Review
Makoto Shinkai's latest anime feature film Weathering With You aka Tenki no Ko recently hit theaters in the United States and one of the first questions on everyone's mind is how does the film compare to its predecessor the widely acclaimed and Oscar snubbed Your Name aka Kimi No Na Wa. In this review we'll discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the anime film from the immense leveling up of the animation to the fast pace of the film and its crowded narrative as well as the always enjoyable musical inclusion of RADWIMPS on the soundtrack and of course the answer to the comparison you've been waiting for: is Tenki no Ko better than Kimi No Na Wa?
I like anime but in short movies or series. In any case I think that the predecessor Kimi No Na Wa is much better than Tenki no Ko. Possibly I like the story and the wonderful images of Kimi No Na Wa or maybe I am biased by this anime film. Best regards @krispnatz
