Today's pick in the Daily Anime Pick-Series where I pick one anime each day that I think is worth watching is K!

This anime's title is probably one of the shorter ones out there. Just a quick note: This anime has a second season named K: Return of Kings but also a movie called K: Missing Kings. Make sure you watch K, then the film and then the second season in this order.
What's unique about this anime are the visuals. Everything looks very colorful and its very pleasing to look at. They also have some really cool animations going on during fighting scenes. But now let's talk about the story or rather the universe of this anime.
In this anime there are 7 kings which all have some strange power they got from the Dresden Slate. Each king has a Sword of Damocles floating a few hundred meters above their head when the use that power. Kings also have the ability to add Clansmen to their Clan which then can use a small fraction of that kings power. But this power has a drawback: When a king uses too much of its power the Sword of Damocles falls down upon the king and obliterates everything in a very huge radius and when I say huge then I mean you can see it clearly from space. Each king has also a color assigned to it which you'll see in form of an aura.
Our protagonist is Yashiro Isana who is 17 years old and a high school student and it seems like he lives a normal life. And no this is not a schools anime by any means. Unfortunately for him a video showing him murdering a Red Clansman has been published and he is now accused of homicide. He himself doesn't remember committing the crime and it seems like this is not the only thing he has trouble remembering. While being hunted he tries to prove his innocence.
Additionally there are many German references which I personally consider to be very cool!
The music is absolute bliss in my opinion. That includes both the soundtrack and the openings and endings.
So if you're up for a visually and musically stunning anime then go ahead!

Description

"Kings" are individuals who have been bestowed with incredible supernatural powers and granted the ability to recruit others into their clans. Protecting the lives and honor of their clansmen is an integral part of the Kings' duties. After a video depicting the heinous murder of a Red Clansman spreads virally, the unassuming student Yashiro Isana is accused of homicide. Now, a manhunt is underway for his head, bringing him into contact with the infamous "Black Dog" Kurou Yatogami—a skilled swordsman and martial artist determined to follow the wishes of his late master, the Seventh King.

Meanwhile, the current Red King, Mikoto Suou, faces his own imminent demise as the search for Yashiro narrows. But during Yashiro's struggle to prove his innocence, a greater conspiracy is unraveling behind the scenes; clouds begin to appear in his memory, and close friends start to question his very existence. What began as a simple murder is now leading towards a full blown war between Kings with the very fate of the world at stake.
