Plot

The story follows Dongtae, an unlucky boy who has problems with almost everything. Looks, grades, and even getting bullied, he hates his life. But everything changes when Taebin, a Dicer, transfers. Upon obtaining a mysterious, iridescent dice, his life becomes little more interesting.

Thoughts

While the general concept of DICE isn't that new, a weak, unattractive, unlucky boy who is always getting picked on accidentally discovers a mysterious item, a DICE, that changes everything in him. The DICE has the capability to grant any physical boost you want in yourself. You want to look good? Roll a dice. You want to be smart? Roll a dice. You want to be strong? Roll a dice. However, the only way you can obtain more dice is through clearing quests given by a mysterious entity called 'X' who communicates to anyone who has a DICE through their phones.

Initially, the quests start out pretty simple. Like picking up an item at a specific location. However, as time goes on, the quests becomes more and more complicated. A matter of right and wrong or life and death complicated. What makes this manhwa more interesting is that it explores the morality of everyone, the limits of the so called human greed. It tries to answer the question of what's the worst thing anyone would do if given the chance and an opportunity to change themselves?

The art style is really really good. X looks like a mini version of L or another N from Death Note so there's that. All the characters are really drawn well even the minor ones. Each one has their own distinct personalities that really stands out. Overall, DICE is a fun and entertaining manhwa that tries to question your morality on some things. At present it already has 191 chapters on Line Webtoon and 219 chapters on MangaRock.
