Visit to Cardiff and the Anime Con - and a bit of upcycling ...
We went on an excursion today as we headed south to the capital city of Wales, Cardiff for the Anime Con... Actually for us it's also a mini steemit meetup as 4 out of 5 in the group are Steemians :D
The photos above show I rehashed a couple of sweatshirts into a Bucky style top. My work included cutting the hem of the black sweatshirt and finding a silver colour sweatshirt to cut the sleeve and then sew it onto the sleeve gap. This also involved adding an applique red star made from a template by @tinygalaxy. We didn't buy anything as we had old sweatshirts and therefore this counts as 'upcycling'.
It's not a perfect costume but it's reminiscent of the character; but it's comfortable to wear and very cheap too.
At the beginning of the convention there were queues of people of all ages wearing costumes and eagerly chatting about their interests while waiting to go in. It was a lot of fun for the youngsters and people of all ages.
@mivstar and I also went walkabout in the city and had the opportunity of finding some nourishment as usual :D after such a long drive - thank you for all the navigational help !
The photos above show part of the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. Many beautiful buildings are currently undergoing facelifts so we saw quite a few scaffoldings and boarded up facades.

Hello, @ireenchew. Thank you for your comment. It's a tiny part of Cardiff which is a vast, beautiful and cosmopolitan place. I do not normally travel there because it's about 2 hours away from where we live and we live far from bus routes or trains.
In the post I wanted to highlight the new event - apparently only the second one there; though there have been comic cons before.
I never attended an anime con but was admits its participants in Vienna at the Museumsquartier: wow!! So many great costumes, it was unbelievable.
I love how your costume turned out, but I must research Bucky (shame on me) And the architecture looks wonderful - as you already know, if I could I would marry old houses ;-D
