I liked it when it at the start because it had that feeling of a fish out of water. This dude thrown into horrifying circumstances and has only his right hand to help him get through it.

I also preferred this take on the concept of "humanity" as opposed to Tokyo Ghoul. Shinichi's gradual desensitization to all of the horror was interesting, and that mother parasyte defending her child was something special.

I just thought Shinichi got pretty boring by the end, the sex scene was completely out of left field, and it was sort of anti-climactic.
